New Delhi, 13 December (H.S.): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) opposed on Saturday former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi's plea to transfer two pending cases—railway tender scam and land-for-jobs scam—against her and family members from Judge Vishal Gogne to another judge in Rouse Avenue Court.

CBI counsel DP Singh argued that Devi aims to undermine the judge, who follows due process meticulously, while accusing the judiciary unfairly. Principal and District Judge Dinesh Bhatt scheduled further arguments for December 15.Devi's counsel had previously alleged procedural lapses by Judge Gogne, including summoning her during Bihar polls and rushing judgments toward 2026.

On October 13, Gogne framed charges against Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, and Tejashwi Yadav in the CBI-linked railway tender case under IPC Sections 420, 120B, and Prevention of Corruption Act Section 13(2), after they pleaded innocence.

Devi claims Gogne exhibits bias, aiding prosecution unfairly across four cases, warranting independent trials elsewhere. CBI affirmed strong evidence on February 28. Earlier, courts granted regular bail to the trio in 2019 on personal bonds of Rs 1 lakh each.

The Enforcement Directorate's chargesheet from September 17, 2018, named Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, and others including Lara Projects LLP, Sarla Gupta, and Abhishek Finance Pvt Ltd.
