Dhar (MP),9 January (HS): Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Thursday unveiled the country's first hydrogen-CNG Baja vehicle in the industrial town of Pithampur located in the district during his visit to Madhya Pradesh. Union Minister Gadkari will reach Indore and will review the National Highway projects going on in Indore and surrounding areas at the Brilliant Convention Center there.

In a program organized on this occasion, he said that we are constantly working to promote the use of ethanol, biodiesel, CNG and electric vehicles. In the coming days, the farmer of our country will become our fuel provider. Union Minister Gadkari said that I have an Innova car, which is running on ethanol and electricity. It causes zero percent pollution.

All the big companies of India are continuously working on other vehicles besides petrol and diesel keeping the future in mind. CNG-powered bikes are available in the market, which run at one rupee per kilometer. We are continuously working to reduce air pollution. Mahindra & Mahindra has also launched a tractor in the market recently, which runs on CNG.

Gadkari said that in the last five years, 4.5 four jobs have created in the auto industry. Mahindra & Mahindra is number one in the auto industry in India. He said that we all have to together make India an exporter of energy from an importing country.

After his address, Union Minister Gadkari unveiled the country's first hydrogen-CNG Baja vehicle here. The technology of the ATV vehicle has been provided by Volvo Eicher. It runs on a mixture of five percent hydrogen and CNG. Its engine is bi-fuel injection of Greaves Cotton, which is a big step towards stable mobility. Maria Abesan, Vice President of Volvo Group India, said that in 2025, five percent hydrogen mixture will be used in CNG. In the year 2026, it will be increased to 18 percent.

Gadkari will also visit the Nath temple in Indore.
