New Delhi, 9 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Sammelan in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha today (Thursday). During this time, the chief guest will address Trinidad and Tobago President Christine Carla Kangalu conference. The theme of the conference this year is 'contribution of overseas Indians in developed India'. Representatives from 70 countries have reached the program. At the same time, President Draupadi Murmu will preside over the concluding session of the program on 10 January.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi will flag off the Pravasi Bharatiya Express from remote. This special tourist train of Indian migrants will go from Nizamuddin railway station in Delhi and will go to many tourism and religious places for three weeks. It is being operated under the migrant pilgrimage scheme of the Ministry of External Affairs.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate four exhibitions. These include the heritage of Ramayana, technology and the contribution of migrants in developed India, the development of Indian migrants from Mandvi to Muscat and the legacy and culture of Odisha.
The formal start of the conference on 8 January with the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Day. In which External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar attended. This conference will run till 10 January. President Draupadi Murmu will attend its concluding session and will award the Pravasi Bharatiya Award.
