Darang (Assam), 05 January (HS): A massive fire incident took place in Kharupetia of Dalgaon assembly constituency of Darang district on Saturday night. Goods worth about ₹25 lakh were damaged due to fire in Fateh Chand Hirawat's office and warehouse.

Biscuits, chips, mobile phones and other items were kept in the warehouse. Fateh Chand Hirawat was a wholesaler of biscuits, chips and mobile phones. The fire was brought under control after long efforts of the fire brigade. The cause of this fire has not been ascertained yet.
