Kamrup (Assam), 03 January (HS): A woman was killed on the spot in an attack by a wild buffalo in Changsari area of Kamrup (rural) district. Forest Department officials said on Friday that the woman named Lakheshwari Murari, living in a rented house in Changsari area, was killed on the spot in the wild buffalo attack.

The deceased woman was a resident of Sonapur in Kamrup district. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot and took the woman's body in their possession and sent it to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. The police have registered an FIR in this regard and are investigating the matter.
