Dauda (Rajasthan), January 2 (H.S.): On Thursday morning at 5:30 am, near Lahdi Ka Bas in Nangal Rajawatan police station area on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, a sleeper bus carrying passengers returning to Delhi after visiting Ujjain Mahakaleshwar collided with a trolley.

The collision was so severe that the front part of the bus was badly damaged. 18 people travelling in the bus were injured in the accident. After the information, the Nangal police station and the rescue team of the expressway reached the spot, who took the injured out of the damaged bus and took them to the district hospital for treatment. Out of the injured, 12 seriously injured have been referred from the district hospital to Jaipur.

Police station in-charge Hussain Ali said that the sleeper coach bus was going from Ujjain to Delhi on the expressway. During this time, the bus collided with the trolley going ahead.

This accident probably happened due to poor visibility due to fog. The bus running at high speed rammed into the trolley. Due to this, the cabin of the bus was badly damaged and 18 people sitting on the front seats were injured. They are being treated in hospitals in Dausa and Jaipur.

The police said that there were 36 passengers in the bus. In such a situation, other passengers have been stopped in the rest area of ​​the expressway.

After the accident, the trolley was not found on the spot, where gravel was found scattered. In such a situation, it is suspected that the bus collided with a trolley full of gravel, after which the trolley along with the driver fled from the spot.

The police have started efforts to identify the trolley by collecting CCTV footage from the control room of the expressway. Constable Naveen of the District Hospital Police Post said that 18 people injured in the accident were brought to Dausa District Hospital for treatment.

Of these, Greater Noida resident Shivpriya (50), Kartik (26), Mayri Ghosh (57), Preeti (35), Kota resident Ghulam Ahmed (31), Sonipat resident Jayesh Jat (13), Amit Jat (36) and Dinesh (14), Balotra resident Suresh (42), Bangalore resident Mohanlal (34), Jodhpur resident Moolaram (32), Delhi resident Monusingh (25) have been referred to Jaipur SMS.

Barmer resident Jasram (38), Bikaner resident Kolayat resident Preeti (35), Delhi resident Nikhil (29), Brijmohan (21), Akash (25), Agra resident Ankit Sharma (28) are being treated at Dausa Hospital.

On receiving the information of the accident, Deputy SP Charul Gupta and PMO Dr. Deepak Sharma enquired about the well-being of the injured in the emergency unit.
