Guwahati, 04 January (HS): The third International Winter Trade Fair is being organized from 25 December to 12 January at Maniram Dewan Trade Centre located at local Betkuchi.
Exhibitors from Afghanistan, Dubai, Bangladesh and Thailand along with various states of India are participating in the trade fair. More than 150 shops selling items ranging from herbal medicines to daily needs, bamboo products, furniture, clothing, jewellery, natural materials and aromatic incense are present in the fair.
The fair was inaugurated by Assam Trade Development Association President Sunil Deka. Vice President Madhuram Deka, Director General Selim Raja Mandal and Director Nayanmani Nath were also present on the occasion. The president said that there are many unique items in the fair, which are not available in the general market. He mentioned giving a big market to the small entrepreneurs of the state and the support of the Chief Minister.
Cultural programs are being organized in the fair every evening. The first day began with Krishna Vandana presented by Dhritarashmita Bora, Tinkle Rajbanshi and Padmanabh Bardalai. Music programs by popular artists will also be a centre of attraction at the fair every day from 6 pm.
