Dehradun, January 06 (HS): Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami made a courtesy call on Union Water Power Minister CR Patil in New Delhi. During this, the Chief Minister requested to make available the remaining funds allocated for the financial year 2024-25 under the Jal Jeevan Mission soon, so that all the works can be completed on time.

During this, the Chief Minister said that the quality of life of the villagers of Uttarakhand has improved a lot due to Jal Jeevan Mission (Rural). The works conducted under Jal Jeevan Mission are in the final stage.

The Chief Minister also requested for approval of hydropower projects located on other river valleys besides Ganga and its tributaries.

The Chief Minister said that the Sela Urthi Hydroelectric Project of Pithoragarh located on Dhauli Ganga is not in the Ganga basin. Therefore, all approvals can be provided in this regard from the Ministry.
