Dehradun, 02 January (HS): An Alto car went out of control and fell into a 100 meter deep ditch in Chakrata area of Dehradun district on Thursday. As soon as the information was received, SDRF reached the spot and carried out the rescue operation and rescued all the eight injured trapped in the vehicle and saved their lives. All of them are residents of Haryana. Chakrata police station informed SDRF that a vehicle has fallen into the ditch and an immediate rescue team is needed. On receiving the information, the SDRF team reached the spot with rescue equipment under the leadership of Additional Sub Inspector Manish Chauhan. The team descended into the deep ditch and took immediate action and pulled out all the injured through stretcher. The injured were taken to the main road through an alternate route and sent to the hospital by ambulance. The injured are Madhav (7), Kashish (four months), Avvya (four months), Smaran (15), Rajat (29), Isha (23), Amit (35), Divya (26), all residents of Yamunanagar Haryana. The injured are being treated at the hospital and according to doctors, all are now stable.
Warning and appealThe police administration has appealed to the passengers to control the speed and drive carefully while traveling on hilly roads. Such accidents often occur due to ignoring the weather and road conditions.
