Bhubaneswar, 2 January (H.S.): In a significant move to combat corruption, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has approved the establishment of additional posts within the State Vigilance Department to enhance its operational capacity.
Renowned for his unwavering stance against corruption, particularly at higher levels, the Chief Minister has consistently prioritised strong measures to tackle this issue.
To bolster the anti-corruption agency, the government has sanctioned the creation of 8 Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) posts, 24 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) posts, and 16 Sub-Inspector (SI) posts within the department.
This decision aims to equip the State Vigilance Department with the necessary officials and resources is to intensify its efforts in combating corruption and ensuring accountability in public administration.
