New Delhi, September 20 (HS): The Supreme Court has stopped the contempt proceedings against Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's statements on the bail granted to BRS leader K. Kavitha. The bench headed by Justice BR Gavai said that all constitutional officials should have mutual respect for each other. After Revanth Reddy's apology, the court has stopped the contempt proceedings.

In fact, Revanth Reddy had commented against the Supreme Court on the Supreme Court's order granting bail to BRS leader K. Kavitha in the Delhi Excise Scam case. Revanth Reddy had said that the bail is the result of collusion between BRS and BJP. The Supreme Court was angry at this statement. The court said that there should be a sense of mutual respect between the three organs. Will anyone have enmity like this. We always say that we will not interfere in the work of the executive or the legislature but the same is expected from you too.
