JCB remanded in 5-day police custody, 12 cases cited in court, including murder charges


Kolkata, 1 July (HS): Trinamool leader Tajmool alias JBC arrested and sent to 5-day police custody on Monday. Several cases have been filed against JCB in connection with several serious crimes like attempt to murder, causing grievous hurt, molestation, indecent behavior with a woman and conspiracy to commit crime.

Public prosecutor Sanjay Bhawal said, “Cases have been filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. There are serious charges like attempted murder, molestation etc. Judge gave 5 days'' police custody. However, the investigating officer mentioned 12 cases against him. It also included cases of murder. The police filed a Suomoto case in this incident. First the video came to the police. Then the police itself registered the case.”

Meanwhile, the police are talking about 12 cases against him, including that of a murder. But even then this Tajmool alias JCB moved around in the area for so long, the question is being raised in the political circles.

Notably, in Chopra, the incident of thrashing of a young mann and a women by throwing them on the public road has created a stir in Bengal as well as in the whole country.
