New Delhi, April 17 (H.S.): Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta announced today that the Delhi Assembly will implement the NeVA (National e-Vidhan Application) program, incorporating advanced software and apps for a completely paperless monsoon session scheduled for July.
During his visit to the Odisha Assembly, accompanied by Deputy Speaker of Delhi Mohan Singh Bisht, Gupta examined the technology and systems developed under the NeVA initiative. They were welcomed by Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who provided insights on NeVA's implementation.
Gupta highlighted the innovative technology in Odisha, which has effectively adapted best practices from other states. He noted that the Delhi Assembly will adopt improvements based on this model, focusing on NeVA's apps, software, dashboard, and operational strategies. The delegation also explored service centers showcasing seamless and transparent legislative activities driven by technology.
Gupta expressed a desire to invite Odisha experts to Delhi to share their experiences. He reaffirmed the commitment to Prime Minister Modi's One Nation, One Application campaign, emphasizing the Delhi Assembly's role in this digital transformation, which will enhance efficiency and promote environmental sustainability. The e-Vidhan application will facilitate transparency and efficiency in legislative processes.
The visit concluded with a spiritual experience at the Lingaraj Temple, which Gupta described as uplifting and remarkable. His wife, Shobha Vijender, accompanied him.
