Guwahati, 30 June (HS): The Assam government is considering to decap the schemes related to basic infrastructure development running in the state from the ceiling of maximum budget amount. Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa on Sunday chaired a meeting to discuss proposals to remove budgetary ceilings on major infrastructure projects of the Government of India. The aim is to prevent delays and ensure timely completion of work.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare a list of projects eligible for ceiling-free status. This will maximize the number of PWD (building) infrastructure projects. This will enable completion of projects within the stipulated time frame, CM informed through social media on Sunday.
