Guwahati, June 16 (HS): A person trying to deliver drone parts to Manipur militants was arrested from Guwahati on Sunday.

According to Assam Police, the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam Police successfully conducted an operation and arrested one Sanjeev Kumar Mishra, a resident of Noonmati area of Guwahati, with drone parts from Rupnagar area of the Guwahati city. The arrested person was trying to deliver it to some rebel groups based in Manipur.

This operation is being seen as a major success in terms of thwarting a widespread violent activity in the violence-hit Manipur state. In this regard, a case was registered under STF police station case. Investigation has been started accordingly.
