Supreme Court issues notice to NTA on 'NEET'

New Delhi, June 11 (HS): The Supreme Court on Tuesday heard the petition to cancel the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). During this, the court has issued a notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA). The vacation bench headed by Justice Vikram Nath ordered the next hearing on July 8.

The Supreme Court has said that the dignity of the examination has been affected. Therefore, NTA will have to respond. However, the bench refused to stop the counseling for the time being. Abdullah Mohammad Faiz and others of Andhra Pradesh have demanded cancellation of the examination held on May 5 in the petition and have demanded to conduct the examination again. Along with this, a demand has been made to conduct an inquiry by the SIT. Along with this, a demand has been made to stop the counseling to be done on the basis of the results on June 4.

A second petition in this regard has been filed in the Supreme Court by student Shivangi Mishra and others. In this, there has been a demand to conduct NEET afresh. It is worth mentioning that the allegation of rigging in the exam has become a big issue. NTA, the organization which conducts NEET, has completely denied the allegations of paper leak or rigging in the exam.
