New Delhi, 24 December (H.S.): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Assistant Engineer Ashish Sivach and Beldar Mahesh Kumar from the Shahdara Zone of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday, catching them red-handed while accepting a bribe of two lakh rupees.The CBI revealed that following a complaint received on December 22, it promptly registered a case against the duo.

The allegations centered on the beldar demanding two lakh rupees on behalf of the junior engineer and assistant engineer to prepare a closure report for the complainant's building.

Acting decisively, the agency laid a trap on the same day and apprehended both accused individuals in the act of taking the illicit payment.
