Accused of murderous attack arrested in Mathura


New Delhi, May 15 (HS): Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a preson for shooting and trying to kill a woman at her in Khayala area of West Delhi.

The accused has been identified as Daljeet, who also worked as a delivery boy in a food delivery company.

DCP Satish Kumar of Crime Branch said that the firing incident took place in Khayala area on May 8. A woman named Anita was shot at. The woman runs a catering business and had also worked at some program at the accused's place. The accused had given ₹20,000 to the woman for that programme. There was a dispute over this and the accused reached the woman's house at 5 am with three associates and entered the house and opened fire. The woman was injured in the incident.

Khayala police registered an FIR and started investigation. Crime branch team was also deployed to investigate this matter. Inspector Sanjay Kumar's team under the supervision of ACP Rajkumar Saha collected information and within 24 hours succeeded in arresting Daljeet, the main accused in this case. He was arrested from Mathura railway station in Uttar Pradesh.
