Guwahati, April26 (HS): Voting for the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in Assam is taking place today in five seats out of total 14 Lok Sabha seats in the state. Voting started at 07 am.

Till 09 am, 11.12% voting was recorded in Darrang-Udalguri seat of the state. Whereas, 14.13 % voting was recorded in Diphu Lok Sabha constituency, 09.61 % in Karimganj, 09.07 % in Nagaon and 05.49 % in Silchar.

According to the information so far, voting is going on peacefully. A large number of security personnel have been deployed at the polling stations. In the first phase, voting was held for five Lok Sabha seats of Assam, Jorhat, Lakhimpur, Kaziranga, Dibrugarh and Sonitpur.
