Rae Bareli, 26 April (HS): Four people were killed and many more injured on Friday after their automobile collided with a culvert and a tree on the side of the road, according to authorities. According to police, the event occurred in the early morning at Malin Purva village in the Mill Area police station area, while the victims were returning from Fursatganj in Amethi. Their car, Scorpio, smashed into culvert and subsequently hit tree on roadside leaving all persons in car wounded, SHO Sanjay Singh said.

Four victims, Pankaj Pal (30), Raghavendra Yadav (50), Deepak Pal (28) and Awadhesh Pal (45), were certified dead by medics after being carried to the hospital, according to the SHO.

He stated that the four injured are being treated. Corpses have been submitted for post-mortem, and additional investigation is continuing.
