Kanpur, 25 April (HS): A case has been registered against INDI Alliance's Kanpur Nagar candidate Alok Mishra under various sections including fraud at Nawabganj police station on Wednesday night for carrying campaign material in an ambulance.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Central RS Gautam gave information in this regard on Thursday. He said that in view of the Lok Sabha elections, a checking campaign of suspicious vehicles is being conducted by the police teams.

An ambulance was caught during vehicle checking on Wednesday night. In which promotional material was recovered. Ambulances are meant to transport patients. This work was being done against the rules.

Police have registered a case agai6nst ambulance driver Shivli resident Neeraj and associate Deepak and Congress Party candidate Alok Mishra under various sections including fraud. The inspection of the matter is going on. Legal action was taken against the driver and his assistant.
