No contest with any party on 11 seats: CM


Diphu (Assam), 21 April (HS): Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that out of 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam, BJP has no contest with any party on 11 seats. He said that BJP has got a clean sweep in the five seats where elections were held in first phase. He said that the NDA candidate will have to fight on the only Dhubri Lok Sabha seat.

He said that the contest on this seat will not be with Congress but with all India united democratic front (AIUDF). He said that he has not gone to Dhubri yet, so it is difficult to say anything about Dhubri seat.

The Chief Minister said that BJP is continuously moving forward for its good works. Everyone loves Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that is why BJP is performing well.

The Chief Minister was speaking to reporters after addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidate Amar Singh Tiso in Diphu today. In response to a question, he said that BJP is performing well in Nagaon seat also. On Tuesday, he will go to Nagaon to assess the ground situation and address an election rally there.

During this, the Chief Minister gave direct answers to many questions of the journalists.
