Nadia, April 18 (HS): Less than 24 hours are left for the first phase of polling. Meanwhile, an incident of attack on the car of Jagannath Sarkar, the outgoing MP from Shantipur Lok Sabha seat, has taken place. It is also alleged that some people clashed with his security guards. It is learnt that Jagannath Sarkar had gone to his fishery located in Govindpur area under Shantipur police station. He was allegedly attacked from there and his car was vandalized.

Jagannath Sarkar alleged that fish was being stolen from his fishery for many days. He went there to investigate this. There some people around him started protesting. The security guards removed them. After that, Sarkar''s car was allegedly attacked. The police went and controlled the situation.

Jagannath Sarkar called the entire incident as a ''well-planned conspiracy''. He said that everything is being done according to the plan. Shantipur police station also has a role in this matter. He claimed that Shantipur has become a stronghold of BJP. That is why he is being attacked like this.
