Lucknow, 17 April (HS): On Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath offered his wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh on Ram Navami, which is observed across the country. Best greetings to the people of the state on Ram Navami, Adityanath wrote in Hindi on X. The chief minister also referred to the new Ram temple in Ayodhya. After decades of waiting, the great temple of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya has made millions of Ram followers joyful and proud, Adityanath remarked.

Mayawati, the head of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), also extended her best wishes. She commented in Hindi on X, Hearty congratulations and best wishes on Ram Navami to all of his followers across the country and around the world.

Priests in Ayodhya performed Lord Ram's 'rudra abhishek' and'shringar aarti' at the temple on Ram Navami. According to district officials, thousands of devotees began waiting at the shrine before sunrise to pray. The district government has made extraordinary provisions to accommodate the large number of devotees expected throughout the day.
