Barpeta (Assam), 29 April (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that if Prime Minister Rahul Gandhi had been there instead of Narendra Modi during the time of Covid-19, people would have died without any medicine. From where do people get vaccines and medicines? He said that in such a situation we would have lost most of the people above 60 years of age. The Chief Minister was addressing an election rally in Sarupeta today in support of Phani Bhushan Chaudhary, the NDA-backed Assam Gana Parishad candidate from Barpeta Lok Sabha seat.

The Chief Minister appealed that people in Barpeta and Dhubri seats should press the button on the elephant symbol instead of the lotus symbol. Whereas, instead of lotus on the Kokrajhar seat, press the button on the tractor symbol. This will make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister. The Chief Minister said that by becoming the Prime Minister of the country for the third time with more than 400 seats, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will continue the ongoing development and public welfare schemes in the country and will also complete all the incomplete tasks. Talking to reporters after the program, the Chief Minister said that he addressed several election rallies in Barpeta and Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituencies on Monday. On May 2, the Chief Minister will address an election rally in Dhubri.

Earlier today, the Chief Minister had appealed to the general public regarding Amit Shah's road show in Guwahati that elderly people should not participate in the road show and women should not take part in the road show along with small children. The Chief Minister said that Amit Shah's road show was to be organized at GS Road, but to avoid inconvenience to the people, the road show is being organized from Cycle Factory to Lal Ganesh instead of GS Road. The Chief Minister said that lakhs of people will participate in it.
