Ghaziabad, 17 April (HS): SP head Akhilesh Yadav declared on Wednesday that winds of change are blowing from western Uttar Pradesh, claiming that an INDIA bloc clean sweep will take place from Ghaziabad to Ghazipur. He further encouraged people not to divide their votes and to protect their booths in order to ensure the BJP's defeat.
Yadav made his statements during their first joint news conference of the Lok Sabha election cycle, alongside Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The first phase of Lok Sabha elections will take place in Uttar Pradesh. Winds from the west will affect the ecology of Uttar Pradesh and the country, Yadav stated, flanked by Gandhi and other Congress leaders.
We are now sitting in Ghaziabad. The INDIA bloc will defeat the BJP cleanly from Ghaziabad to Ghazipur, according to the SP president.
He added that farmers are upset since all of the BJP's promises and claims have proven to be a giant falsehood. Farmers' salaries have not quadrupled, nor have young people found work, he claimed. “Their (BJP's) moral balloon has burst. The election bond crisis has exposed them. The BJP has devolved into a haven for corruption,” Yadav said and added, “they are not only bringing in corrupt individuals, but also their money.”
“They (BJP) made boasts about a double engine, but look at their hoardings today; their candidates are absent, and just one person is present. After the elections, that person who is alone on hoardings will vanish, he remarked, taking a shot at Modi. ”They just have one slogan: lie and pillage. Lying has been their identity,” Yadav explained.
The Samajwadi Party chief also lambasted the BJP over the examination paper leak problem in Uttar Pradesh, claiming that the future of 60 lakh young people has been kept in the dark.
“Ensure that not a single vote is split. We must vote and protect our booths to ensure that the BJP is defeated,” Yadav stated.
“The people of the country demand change. Winds of change are flowing from western Uttar Pradesh, and I am convinced that the INDIA bloc government will be established, he said.
Yadav stated that PDA (Pichchda, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) will beat NDA (National Democratic Alliance). “They will be wiped out from here to Ghazipur, and those who arrived in 2014 will go in 2024,” he added.
