Biswanath (Assam), 27 December (HS): On Friday, police raided a house in Balichang of the district and recovered a large quantity of ganja. Police arrested a youth from here on charges of selling ganja.

Under the leadership of Balichang police outpost in-charge Jonamani Das, police raided the house of Sahabuddin Ali in No. 2 Dilichang area. Police seized about 10 kg of ganja from his house. On receiving information about this, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the district Navjit Das Bagre and outpost in-charge Pawan Gayan also reached the spot and investigated. Accused Ali, who sold ganja, has been arrested and brought to Biswanath Chariyali police station, where he is being interrogated.
