26 December (H.S.): UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya criticizes
the Samajwadi Party's 2013 Kumbh Mela handling and promises robust preparations
for 2025. Akhilesh Yadav charges the BJP of misgovernance for the 2025
incident. To accommodate the large inflow of devotees, the government is
planning substantial infrastructure, including 5,000 buses and luxury
amenities. UP Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya has criticised SP
Chief Akhilesh Yadav, calling the 2013 Kumbh Mela administration the worst in
history. Speaking on Thursday, Maurya stated that pilgrims had multiple
incidents during the festival. He stressed the significance of the 2025 Kumbh
Mela, assuring the audience that the government is making serious and extensive
preparations.
As
the political debate heats up, Akhilesh Yadav has slammed the Bharatiya Janata
Party for allegedly mismanaging the impending Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela 2025. In
a social media post, Yadav stated that just 9 of Prayagraj's 22 pontoon bridges
are now operational, with only 40% of the required work accomplished.
The
state administration has outlined logistical arrangements to accommodate the
flood of devotees, which include over 5,000 special buses and 550 electric
cars. The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is also
stepping up, promising world-class amenities such as 3,000 special trains and a
luxury tent city called Mahakumbh Gram to assure the comfort and accessibility
of millions who will attend this cultural spectacle.
