Sirsa, 21 December (H.S.): On Saturday, the late former Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala was laid to rest with full state honours in his native village of Teja Khera in Sirsa district.
Chautala, who served as chief minister five times, passed away at the age of 89 in Gurugram on Friday. The cremation ceremony was attended by several prominent political leaders including Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.
The presence of these leaders at the final send-off of Chautala showcases the respect and admiration he earned throughout his political career. The entire state of Haryana mourned the loss of their beloved leader, who will always be remembered for his contributions towards the development of the state.
