Mumbai, 12 Dec (HS):- The TADA [Terrorist and

Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act] Court rejected underworld don Abu Salem’s

application requesting relief in his punishment. Abu Salem is facing

imprisonment in connection with serial bomb blasts in Mumbai in 1993. A special

court had inflicted 25 years imprisonment on him.

Abu Salem in his application had stated that his term

of 25 years may be reduced by 2 years and 10 months for his good behaviour in

the jail. Quoting the Supreme Court verdict of 11 July 2022 Justice V D Kedar

rejected the application looking into the seriousness of the crime committed by

Salem.
