Bhopal, 6 November (HS): With the aim of promoting adventure tourism in Madhya Pradesh and diversifying tourism activities, Sky Diving Festival is being organised from November 9, for the fourth consecutive year under the aegis of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board.

This year, for three months in Ujjain, tourists will be able to get the thrilling experience of seeing the city of Mahakal by jumping from a height of 10 thousand feet. This information was given by the State Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust and Religious Affairs Minister (Independent Charge) Dharmendra Bhavsingh Lodhi in a press conference on Wednesday.

Minister Lodhi said that various events and activities are being conducted with the aim of making the state a major tourist destination. In this episode, with the aim of making Madhya Pradesh a hub of adventure tourism, Sky Diving Festival is being started in Ujjain from 09 November, which will run for three months till 09 February 2025.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Department and Managing Director Tourism Board Shiv Shekhar Shukla informed that in view of the success of three editions of Sky Diving Festival and enthusiasm of tourists towards adventure activities, the fourth edition (for three months) is being organized in Ujjain this year. Adventure lovers will be able to experience the thrill of flying in the sky at Dattana Airstrip in Ujjain. The time for sky diving is from 08 am to 05 pm. The organizing body of the program is Sky High India. New CESSNA will be used for special sky diving, which has a total capacity of 06 members. In this, 02 participants will be able to sky dive with 02 instructors at a time. More than 1000 participants are expected to participate in these three months. In future, other airbased activities will also be conducted along with sky diving.

Sky diving is being conducted by Sky-High India, an organization certified by Directorate General of Civil Aviation and United States Parachute Association. The aircraft used for sky diving is registered with the Directorate of Civil Aviation.
