Gopeshwar, 6 November (HS): The doors of Badrinath Dham, one of the four Dhams of Uttarakhand, will be closed for the winter season on Sunday, November 17 at 9:07 pm. As part of the process of closing the doors, Panch Puja will start from Wednesday, November 13.
BKTC media in-charge Dr. Harish Gaur told on Wednesday that under Shri Panch Puja, Lord Ganesha will be worshipped on the first day, November 13, and the doors of Lord Ganesha will be closed on the same day. On the second day, Thursday, November 14, the doors of Adi Kedareshwar Temple and Shankaracharya Temple will be closed. On the third day, Friday, November 15, Khadga Pustak Puja and recitation of Veda Richas will be stopped. He told that on the fourth day, Saturday 16, Kadhai Bhog will be offered to Maa Lakshmiji. After this, the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham will be closed on Sunday, November 17 at 9:07 pm.
He informed that on November 18, Shri Kuberji and Uddhavji along with Rawalji, Adi Guru Shankaracharyaji's throne will leave for its winter stay at Pandukeshwar and Shri Nrisinha Temple Joshimath. Shri Uddhavji and Shri Kuberji will stay at Pandukeshwar during winter.
After its stay at Pandukeshwar on Monday, the throne of Adi Guru Shankaracharyaji will ceremoniously reach the throne place, Shri Nrisinha Temple Joshimath on Tuesday 19th November. Along with this, during the winter stay, pujas will be performed at Shri Pandukeshwar and Shri Nrisinha Temple Joshimath.
