Guwahati, 6 November (HS): The recent attack by Khalistanis on the ancient Hindu temple spread over 25 acres run by Golokdham in Canada has deeply shocked the Hindu community. Golok Parivar here has strongly condemned this attack on the temple established about 35 years ago and called it an attack on the faith of the Hindu community.
Dharmaratna Golokdham Peethadheeshwar Shri Swami Gopal Sharan Devacharya was awarded the Hindu Renaissance Award in 2009. Swami is one of the four traditional Vaishnava teachings of the Nimbarka sect. His tireless efforts have led to the construction of more than 100 temples around the world. He has resolved to build at least 108 temples.
The Guwahati-based Golokdham family has expressed deep concern over this incident and considered it a serious threat to the safety of Hindus and the sanctity of religious places around the world. The family has appealed to both the Government of India and the Government of Canada to take strict action against such anti-social elements and ensure the safety of the religious places of the Hindu community.
The Golokdham family has also appealed to the Hindu community around the world to maintain unity and said that such acts make us even more determined towards our religion and culture.
He said that such attacks are an attempt to spoil the atmosphere of religious harmony and peace, which should not be tolerated under any circumstances.
After this unfortunate incident of attack on the temple, the Hindu community has demanded the government to take steps at the international level, so that the sanctity and safety of Hindu religious places around the world can be ensured.
Today, while spreading Hindu religion all over the world, people are overwhelmed with knowledge. In Guwahati, Guruji formed the Guwahati branch of Golok Parivar on Guru Purnima 1997 at the residence of Rajkumar, Pramila Deora.
