Despite the strong ups and downs in the domestic stock market during the trading week from Monday to Friday, the market cap of 6 of the top 10 most valued companies of the country increased.

On the other hand, the market cap of 4 companies declined. During the last trading week, the market cap of 6 companies increased by more than Rs 1.07 lakh crore. On the other hand, the market cap of 4 companies decreased by more than Rs 95,247 crore.

The 6 companies whose market cap increased during the last trading week include Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, ITC, Hindustan Unilever and Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), while the market cap of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), HDFC Bank, Bharti Airtel and Infosys declined during the last week.

During the last week, the market cap of State Bank of India increased by Rs 36,100.09 crore to reach Rs 7,32,755.93 crore. Similarly, the market cap of ICICI Bank increased by Rs 25,775.58 crore to reach Rs 9,10,686.85 crore. Apart from this, the market cap of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) increased by Rs 16,887.74 crore to Rs 5,88,509.41 crore, the market cap of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 15,393.45 crore to Rs 18,12,120.05 crore, the market cap of ITC increased by Rs 10,671.63 crore to Rs 6,13,662.96 crore and the market cap of Hindustan Unilever increased by Rs 2,537.56 crore to Rs 5,96,408.50 crore.

On the other hand, the market cap of Infosys fell by Rs 38,054.43 crore to Rs 7,31,442.18 crore. Similarly, the market cap of Bharti Airtel fell by Rs 27,299.54 crore to Rs 9,20,299.35 crore. Apart from this, the market cap of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) fell by Rs 26,231.13 crore to Rs 14,41,952.60 crore and the market cap of HDFC Bank fell by Rs 3,662.78 crore to Rs 13,26,076.65 crore.

In terms of market cap, Reliance Industries remained the country's highest market cap company with a market capitalization of Rs 18,12,120.05 crore. After this, TCS (total market cap Rs 14,41,952.60 crore), HDFC Bank (total market cap Rs 13,26,076.65 crore), Bharti Airtel (total market cap Rs 9,20,299.35 crore), ICICI Bank (total market cap Rs 9,10,686.85 crore), State Bank of India (total market cap Rs 7,32,755.93 crore), Infosys (total market cap Rs 7,31,442.18 crore), ITC (total market cap Rs 6,13,662.96 crore), Hindustan Unilever (total market cap Rs 5,96,408.50 crore) and LIC (total market cap Rs 5,88,509.41 crore) remained at second to tenth position in the list of most valuable top 10 companies.
