Lakhimpur (Assam), 20 November (HS): Police arrested a person with heroin from Lakhimpur. Police said through social media on Wednesday that based on reliable information, the traffic sub-inspector of North Lakhimpur police station launched a drive against illegal drug smuggling.

During the drive, 62.88 grams of heroin was seized. During this, one person was also arrested. An FIR has been registered against the arrested accused in Lakhimpur police station and further legal follow up has been initiated.
