Hyderabad, 13 November (H.S.): On Tuesday night, a goods train carrying iron ore derailed in the Peddapalli district of Telangana, causing significant disruptions to the railway operations in the region.
As a result, nearly 20 passenger trains have been cancelled and the operations of over 10 trains have been affected. According to officials from the South Central Railway (SCR), eleven wagons of the goods train derailed between Raghavapuram and Ramagundam.
The SCR division of Indian Railways has diverted more than 10 trains and rescheduled a few for Wednesday as restoration work is currently underway at the site of the derailment.
