As more of our daily activities move online, digital fraud has become a significant threat. Fraudsters are now exploiting various channels, from ordinary calls to video calls, social media, and other online platforms, in attempts to deceive people and steal their hard-earned money.
In response to these concerns, PM Modi introduced the mantra “Pause, Think, and Act” as a guideline for digital safety. Pradhan noted that this message will encourage citizens to exercise caution and stay alert against digital fraud.
He urged citizens to take PM Modi’s advice seriously by avoiding suspicious calls and links. He also advised that anyone encountering fraudulent activity should immediately report it to the National Cyber Helpline at 1930 or file a report at http://cybercrime.gov.in. Pradhan encouraged everyone to actively promote digital safety and spread awareness within their communities.
