Guwahati, 17 October (HS): 12520 Agartala-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express which left Agartala this morning derailed on Lumding-Badarpur Hill Section at Dibalong Station under Lumding Division at around 15-55 hrs. eight coaches including the power car and engine of the train derailed. However, no casualties or serious injuries have been reported.

Accident Relief Train and Accident Relief Medical Train have left Lumding for the site of incident with senior officials of the Division to monitor rescue and restoration operations. Train operations have been suspended on Lumding-Badarpur single line section. PSU Railway has issued helpline numbers 03674 263120 and 03674 263126 in Lumding.
