Hooghly, 04 August (H.S.): Tension prevailed at the premises of Arambagh Medical College and Hospital on Tuesday after a homemaker staged a sit-in protest demanding a meeting with a doctor, who she claims is her husband.

According to the woman, she is the second wife of the doctor and alleged that he had not met her for a long time. Seeking an opportunity to meet him, she put up posters and started a protest inside the hospital premises.

The incident attracted the attention of patients’ relatives and visitors, leading to a gathering at the spot. As the situation drew attention, hospital security personnel and officers from Arambagh Police Station reached the area and requested the woman not to continue the protest inside the hospital campus.

Following the intervention, the woman withdrew her protest and left the hospital premises.

The incident created considerable commotion in and around Arambagh Medical College and Hospital, with the matter becoming a topic of discussion among local residents.
