Lucknow, August 04 (HS): During the Monsoon Session of the UP

Legislative Assembly, Yogi fiercely lambasted the SP and the Congress.

High-stakes parliamentary sessions became a tense political battleground

between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the increasingly assertive

SP-Congress alliance. The Chief Minister lambasted the SP and Congress for

causing havoc over the Ayodhya Ram Mandir donation accusations. He referenced

Assembly Rule 59, which specifically prohibits discussion of things that are

sub-judice (under legal examination). He questioned the opposition's double

standards, claiming that people who did not contribute a single euro to the

temple's building are now raising frivolous accusations to squander

parliamentary time. The Chief Minister denounced the opposition's actions as

uncivil and unlawful. He criticized the SP and Congress of avoiding productive

democratic debates on issues like as youth employment, farmer hardship, and

women's safety in favor of political grandstanding and waving banners.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took the Samajwadi Party and

opposition members to task in the Assembly on Tuesday, the second day of the

monsoon session. He strongly criticized the unruly behavior of SP MLAs, stating

that the conduct of the Samajwadi Party and the opposition is unconstitutional

and shameful. The opposition is disrupting the proceedings of the House, jeopardizing the interests of 250 million

people, as witnessed by all residents of the state. The Chief Minister stated

that the monsoon session was a wonderful opportunity for all members to

deliberate on issues related to the sentiments and interests of 250 million

people in the House. However, those who lack faith in democratic values are

disrespecting and insulting all the institutions that uphold parliamentary

democracy. This behavior of the Samajwadi Party and the opposition is not only

unconstitutional but also shameful.

Opposition wasting valuable time of the House: The Chief

Minister said that the House agenda had already been set through a meeting of

party leaders and an advisory committee, but the opposition party members did

not take any interest in any proposal related to legislative work or the

supplementary budget. Instead, they want to waste the House's valuable time by

raising unnecessary issues. The opposition has no faith in constitutional

values and the traditions of the House. The Chief Minister said that even

before the House began, in a meeting of party leaders, I and the Parliamentary

Affairs Minister, on behalf of the ruling party, had assured that all proposals

brought to the House would be discussed as per the rules and the government

would respond. However, the Samajwadi Party and the opposition parties have no

faith in discussion in the House, constitutional values, or the high traditions

of the House. They are continuously influencing the House and playing with the

interests of the 25 crore people of the state.

25 crore people of the state are watching the undemocratic

behavior of SP: In his address, the Chief Minister assured the government that

it is ready to discuss every issue in the House. The government intends to

promote meaningful debate on all issues that the bench invites for discussion

under the rules, as our government is committed to the public interest.

However, opposition parties have never believed in democratic values; instead,

they deliberately seek to mock democracy by resorting to contempt of the House.

The atmosphere in the House is being continuously vitiated. The people of the

state are witnessing this undemocratic behavior of the Samajwadi Party. Due to

the uproar, the Speaker of the Assembly adjourned the House until 11 am on

Wednesday.
