
Special provision of Rs 5 crore in supplementary budget for
ongoing projects and strengthening of infrastructure
Lucknow, August 04 (HS): Under the leadership of Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is continuously working
to strengthen Sanskrit education and higher education institutions in the
state. In this regard, a special provision of Rs. 500 lakh (Rs. 5 crore) has
been made in the supplementary budget to accelerate ongoing projects and
strengthen infrastructure at Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi.
State Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyaya stated
that Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi, is an important center of
Indian knowledge tradition, Sanskrit language, and ancient learning. This
important step has been taken by the government to develop the university,
expand modern facilities, and ensure timely completion of ongoing projects.
The Higher Education Minister stated that the Yogi
government is committed to preserving and promoting the Sanskrit language,
Indian culture, and the knowledge tradition. The completion of ongoing
construction work at the university will provide a better educational
environment and modern facilities to students, researchers, and faculty.
Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay tabled the
following ordinance in the Assembly. The Uttar Pradesh Private Universities
(Second Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 (Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 15 of 2026). The
Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Third Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 (Uttar
Pradesh Ordinance No. 17 of 2026). The Uttar Pradesh Private Universities
(Fourth Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 (Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 18 of 2026)
will be laid on the Table of the House. The Uttar Pradesh Private Universities
(Fifth Amendment) Ordinance, 2026 (Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 19 of 2026)
