
Hooghly, 04 August (H.S.): Sensation prevailed in Arambagh Tuesday after a prominent doctor was taken to the police station for questioning in connection with allegations related to a nursing institute. According to police sources, Dr. Mukul Ahmed was taken from a private nursing home in Arambagh and questioned at Arambagh Police Station.
Sources said that a nursing student from West Midnapore had approached Sadia Nursing Institute in Arambagh for admission. It has been alleged that the student was offered a nursing course and certificate through fake documentation. Based on this complaint, police have started an investigation into the matter.
According to preliminary information, the concerned nursing institute has three partners, and Dr. Mukul Ahmed is among them, police sources said. He was taken to the police station for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.
The police are examining whether any irregularities, including the issuance of fake certificates or providing nursing training without proper authorization, are involved in the case.
However, the police have not yet disclosed details regarding the verification of the allegations or whether any specific case has been registered against the doctor.
