Hooghly, 04 August (H.S.): A significant meeting was held on Tuesday at Balagarh Sripur Gram Panchayat under Balagarh Assembly constituency to discuss the planning and effective implementation of rural development programmes.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on preparing the roadmap for development works in the area, identifying priorities, and ensuring the timely completion of various projects.

Special emphasis was laid on formulating development plans based on the needs of local residents and implementing them effectively within the stipulated time frame. Issues related to improving infrastructure in the Gram Panchayat area, increasing employment opportunities, and enhancing the overall quality of life of the people were also discussed.

Minister Sumana Sarkar said that planned initiatives are being undertaken to accelerate the overall development of the region. She stated that development programmes will be prepared keeping in mind the requirements of the people and the ground realities of the area.

She further stressed the importance of maintaining better coordination among all concerned departments and officials to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of every project.

The Minister added that the government remains committed to promoting the development of rural areas. Giving top priority to public welfare, continuous efforts will be made to strengthen and accelerate the pace of development.

The meeting at Balagarh Sripur Gram Panchayat is expected to play an important role in making future development activities in the area more organised, effective, and people-oriented.
