Tamulpur (Assam), 14 August (HS): The Tamulpur district administration observed Partition Horrors Remembrance Day on Friday to commemorate the suffering, violence and sacrifices endured by people during the Partition of India.

The programme was organised at the conference hall of the Tamulpur District Commissioner’s office in the presence of District Commissioner Simi Karan, IAS, along with senior district administration officials, employees and heads of various departments.

The event began with a two-minute silence in memory of the countless people who lost their lives or suffered during the Partition.
