
Bhubaneswar, 14 August (H.S.): Odisha Health and Information Technology Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahaling reviewed the progress of the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) centre at Jeypore in Koraput district, with a focus on strengthening IT infrastructure, creating employment opportunities for local youth and promoting IT startups across southern Odisha.
During the review, Dr. Mahaling emphasised the need to accelerate the development of technology infrastructure in Koraput and other parts of South Odisha to create new opportunities for the region’s young and technically skilled workforce.
He said the government’s objective is to promote technology development at the regional level and provide local youth with opportunities to build careers and pursue innovation without having to move to major cities.
The minister also reviewed the ongoing activities and progress of the Jeypore STPI centre and advised the concerned officials to take necessary steps to make the initiative more active, effective and outcome-oriented.
Dr. Mahaling stressed the importance of creating a stronger ecosystem for IT startups and technology-based enterprises, which could contribute to employment generation, innovation and economic development in the region.
He said strengthening IT infrastructure in South Odisha would help harness the technological potential of local youth and provide them with better avenues for employment, entrepreneurship and skill development.
