
Mumbai, 01 Aug (HS): National Security Avisor Aji Doval was honoured
with the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak award. The awar was conferred upon Dival at
the hands of Union Home Minister Amit Shah during a programme in Pune on
Saturday. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was present on the occasion.
On the occasion of 106th death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak,
Shah recalled his contribution in the freedom struggle and awakening masses
against the British rule. He congratulated Doval for getting the Tilak award
and recalled his first meeting with Doval as Home Minister of Gujarat. After
discussion with senior police officers by Doval, Gujarat police resolved the
case of 14 blasts in India
Doval has a major contribution in resolving difficult situation in the
nation since 1972. He worked for six years in Pakistan in a very difficult
situation and strengthened India’s internal security and foreign policy. During
the last 12 years he is working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shah also paid tributes to Shahir Annabhau Sathe on his birth anniversary.
He worked for generating awareness among the most backward Matang community.
Through public celebration of Ganesh Utsav and Chhatrapati Shivaji
Jayanti, Lokmanya Tilak tried to bring the community together and worked to
develop the national spirit among them. He was a dedicated and devoted
journalist. Shah appealed to the young generation to read ‘Geeta Rahasya;
authored by Lokmanya Tilak.
Ajit Doval appealed to the youth to understand the meaning of freedom in
the true sense. He appreciated the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
and Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that the nation is moving fast towards
development despite internal and external challenges.
