
Lucknow, 06 July (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath issued an open letter (Pati) to the state's citizens, encouraging
youth to participate in sports and urged parents to promote their children's
athletic abilities. He emphasized that sports promote discipline, encourage
collaboration, and steer youngsters away from vices such as narcotics.
Government initiatives and facilities:
Grassroots Development: Playgrounds are being constructed in every Gram
Panchayat, with little stadiums in each block.
Higher Education: Meerut's Major Dhyan Chand Sports University is fully
operating.
Divisional Goal: Sports colleges and centers of excellence will be constructed
in all 18 divisions of the state, providing sophisticated training facilities.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has written a letter to the
state, in which he has shared the changing sports culture of Uttar Pradesh and
the achievements of the players. The Chief Minister wrote in his letter that
the soil of the field teaches us not to win or lose, but to rise. Uttar Pradesh
is now moving towards becoming number one in sports, along with development.
The state's youth are bringing glory to Uttar Pradesh both nationally and
internationally with their talent and hard work. He clarified that champions
aren't made overnight, and sports culture doesn't develop overnight. Sports is
the ultimate vehicle for discipline, dedication, positive thinking, and team
spirit.
This sporting spirit will become the basis for success in
life and the creation of a developed Uttar Pradesh. The CM has appealed to
never stop the sporting talent of children, because sports is the biggest power
to protect against evils like drug addiction. Through the letter, the CM
informed that there is a special focus on skill development and modern
facilities for the players in the state. Sports grounds are being developed in
every Gram Panchayat and mini stadiums in every block. Modern stadiums are
being developed in every district and Major Dhyanchand Sports University is
ready in Meerut. CM Yogi announced that sports colleges and centers of
excellence will be established in all 18 divisions of the state. Players will
get world-class training, modern facilities and government jobs.

excelled in their performance and to ensure their secure future. Today,
playgrounds are being developed in every gram panchayat, mini stadiums in every
block, and modern stadiums in every district. In Meerut, the Major Dhyan Chand
Sports University is ready. I would like to make a special appeal to parents
that they should never suppress their children's sporting talent. Sports not
only brings medals, but also serves as the most powerful shield to keep
children and youth away from evils like addiction. Children and youth should
make sports an integral part of their daily routine. For the youth, sports
today is also a means to turn their career dreams into reality. Only those who
play, bloom.”
