New Delhi, 06 July (H.S.): Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Monday met local bus and truck body builders from Rajasthan and listened to their concerns. He alleged that the Central Government's policies towards Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are choking small industries and pushing the sector into crisis.

Sharing details of the interaction in a post on social media platform X, Rahul Gandhi said the craftsmanship of these artisans is of world-class quality and comparable to the standards of companies such as Ferrari and Rolls-Royce. However, instead of receiving recognition and support, he claimed they are being burdened by excessive regulations.

He said the closure of small industries does not merely result in factories shutting down but also leads to the loss of India's skilled craftsmanship and leaves hardworking artisans without employment.

Rahul Gandhi asserted that the Congress Party would stand with these craftsmen and ensure that their rights and livelihoods are protected.
