President Droupadi Murmu on Monday accepted the credentials of the ambassadors and high commissioners of six countries during a ceremonial function held at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
According to a statement issued by the President's Secretariat, President Murmu received the credentials of High Commissioner Armando Pedro Muiane Junior of Mozambique, Ambassador Nadeska Imara Cuthbert Carlson of Nicaragua, Ambassador Hanisha Jayaram of Suriname, High Commissioner Aurélien-Marcel Mintsa Nguema of Gabon, Ambassador Dr. Ulziit Luvsanjav of Mongolia, and High Commissioner Peter Nicholas Simonette of The Bahamas.
The presentation of credentials is a formal diplomatic procedure through which newly appointed ambassadors and high commissioners are officially recognised by the host country and authorised to assume their diplomatic responsibilities. The ceremony also marks an important step in strengthening diplomatic relations and enhancing bilateral cooperation between India and the respective countries.
