New Delhi, 28 July (H.S.): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj on Tuesday accused the Delhi government of allowing crucial files linked to an alleged ₹650 crore health scam to go missing. He claimed that records related to the procurement of medicines, bedsheets, ORS packets, X-ray machines, and other medical equipment—including tenders, supply orders, work orders, and distribution details—were unavailable.

In a statement, Bharadwaj said that Delhi government offices are monitored by CCTV cameras round the clock and have robust security arrangements. Under such circumstances, he argued, the disappearance of official files raises serious questions. He asked Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to explain how these important documents went missing.

The AAP leader also alleged large-scale irregularities in the procurement of medical equipment and supplies. He claimed that X-ray machines worth ₹10–11 lakh were purchased for ₹30–32 lakh each, 5 million ORS packets were procured at inflated prices, more than 1.6 million bedsheets were purchased for around ₹75 crore, and medicines worth ₹100 crore were allegedly procured at a cost of ₹400 crore.
